UNFPA Responding to Emergencies across Asia and the Pacific
Asia-Pacific is the most disaster-prone region in the world. It is also home to a number of long-running conflicts that exact a human toll. The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) places women and girls at the center of humanitarian response. Every year the number and frequency of disasters (whether natural or conflict-related) is increasing, with millions of people displaced from their homes. UNFPA works to fulfill the pledge of the Sustainable Development Goals, leaving no one behind: focusing on the needs of women and girls for a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe, and every young person’s potential is fulfilled.
Sexual and Reproductive Health of Unmarried Young People in Asia and the Pacific
In the Asia Pacific region youth make up a sizeable portion of the population. Most of them are unmarried. To follow UNFPA, UNESCO and WHO's 2015 publication reviewing issues, policies and programmes on the sexual and reproductive health of young people in Asia and the Pacific UNFPA APRO commissioned a literature review of unmarried young people in this region. This report on the sexual and reproductive health of unmarried young people in Asia and the Pacific shows they are much more active than expected. We hope the report will encourage more thought, research and deliberation on what it is to be an unmarried young person in the region today.
Mapping of Child Marriage Initiatives in South Asia
This report lays out by country significant pieces of work that contribute to ending child marriage in eight countries of South Asia. It starts with an overview of major regional initiatives, and then it covers government, UN and civil society/NGO initiatives by country.

The Programme identifies the essential services to be provided by the health, social services, police and justice sectors (the “Essential Services”) as well as guidelines for the coordination of Essential Services and the governance of coordination processes and mechanisms (the “Coordination Guidelines”).
Service delivery guidelines for the core elements of each essential service have been identified to ensure the delivery of high quality services, particularly for low and middle income countries for women and girls experiencing violence. Taken together, these elements comprise the “Essential Services Package”.

Asia-Pacific Migration Report 2015
The Asia-Pacific Migration Report 2015: Migrants' Contributions to Development, produced by the Asia-Pacific Regional Thematic Working Group on International Migration, including Human Trafficking, provides an insight into how labour migration, the dominant migration trend in the Asia-Pacific region, can contribute to development in countries of origin and destination in the Asia-Pacific region. It reviews the main migration trends in the Asia-Pacific region; considers how migrants impact on GDP growth, employment, and wages in countries of destination; and considers how the positive impacts of migration can be maximized, while minimizing the negative trends. In general, it finds that migration is a benefit to countries of origin, destination, and migrants themselves; however, further contributions are hampered by the vulnerability of migrant workers to exploitation. It calls for migration policies and forms of international cooperation that are harmonized with development priorities and international human rights and labour standards to ensure that migration is a benefit for all.
