Reproductive Health Initiative for Youth in Asia (RHIYA) 2007
Through the EU/UNFPA Reproductive Health Initiative for Youth in Asia (RHIYA), the European Commission and UNFPA have partnered with seven national governments and civil society organizations to respond to the significant challenge of addressing the rights of young people to education and sexual and reproductive health (SRH). RHIYA has pioneered unique approaches and deployed a range of innovative activities to create opportunities for young people to protect their SRH, so that they may meet their full potential.

This publication analyzes the situation of population ageing in the East and South-East Asia regions. It describes the current situation of population ageing in both regions and discusses the socio-economic implications of changing demographic trends in the next five decades. The report also discusses the role that UNFPA has played and reviews the policies that countries have undertaken to address the issue.
