There are almost one billion young people aged 10-24 years living in low- and middle income countries in Asia and the Pacific, representing 23.7% of people in the Asia Pacific and accounting for 60% of the world’s adolescents and young adults.

Young people experience a disproportionate burden of poor sexual and reproductive health (SRH) including high rates of early and unintended pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV, and violence.This document provides a snapshot of young’s SRH and their rights in Asia and the Pacific.
