16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence

From 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, to 10 December, Human Rights Day, the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence Campaign is a time to galvanize action to end violence against women and girls around the world.

The international campaign originated from the first Women's Global Leadership Institute coordinated by the Center for Women's Global Leadership in 1991.

IAAH XIth World Congress on Adolescent Health

The 11th World Congress on Adolescent Health, with the theme  "Investing in Adolescent Health - the Future is Now", will be held from 27-29 October, 2017, in New Delhi.

UNFPA, a key partner of the International Association of Adolescent Health, the organizer of the congress, will be participating prominently via several panels and sessions. 

Bjorn Andersson, UNFPA Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific, will deliver the keynote address.

UNFPA State of World Population 2017

On October 2017, UNFPA will launch its annual flagship report, State of World Population (SWOP).

Once posted online, the report can be accessed at www.unfpa.org/swop and asiapacific.unfpa.org.

Each year, the SWOP theme focuses on key aspects of UNFPA's global mandate and vision of a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe and every young person's potential is fulfilled.
