There are almost one billion young people aged 10-24 years living in low- and middle income countries in Asia and the Pacific, representing 23.7% of people in the Asia Pacific and accounting for 60% of the world’s adolescents and young adults.

Young people experience a disproportionate burden of poor sexual and reproductive health (SRH) including high rates of early and unintended pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV, and violence. This document provides a snapshot of young’s SRH and their rights in Asia and the Pacific.

For more information, see the full report that highlights the current status of young people’s sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and examines key SRHR priorities in Asia and the Pacific to support informed policy, programming and advocacy.
