The Greater Mekong Sub-Region is one of the fastest growing economic sub-regions in the world and is expected to emerge as an important economic hub in Asia. But many of Mekong's population remain poor.

There are approximately 200 ethnic minority groups in Mekong. Available data shows that ethnic minority groups have poor reproductive health and other health indicators. Lack of access to education, health and social services, combined with limited political and social empowerment, are primary reasons for this.

This report discusses the principal factors that contribute to the reproductive health challenges faced by Mekong's ethnic minorities.
