The main objective of this survey is to generate official statistics on the prevalence and nature of VAW in Bangladesh. Sex and gender-based violence continues to be an area of serious national concern in Bangladesh. This report found that 87 percent of Bangladeshi women and girls experience sex and gender-based violence at least once in their lifetime.
