This summary report captures key insights from the Asia Regional Symposium on Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV), held in Bangkok in October 2024. Co-hosted by UNFPA Asia-Pacific, Australia’s eSafety Commissioner, and USAID, the symposium brought together diverse stakeholders to address the complex and growing challenge of online gender-based violence across the region. The report highlights urgent priorities such as inclusive and culturally sensitive approaches, the need for youth engagement, ethical use of technology, and stronger regional coordination. It also documents innovative practices, policy recommendations, and collaborative strategies aimed at preventing and responding to online gender-based violence in Asia.
