This report is written based on a survey conducted by the College of Population Studies of Chulalongkorn University, commissioned by UNPFA in Thailand. The objective of the survey was to provide evidence to decision makers to inform responses to older persons’ needs during the COVID-19 lockdown period.
Although the evidence from the survey provides a partial view of the situation, it is recognized as being a pioneering piece of work assessing the impact of COVID-19 on older persons. Since the pandemic continues, further investigation will be needed to learn more about how older persons’ livelihoods have been affected after the COVID-19 pandemic, which started in March 2020.
